exelente comida Gracias por la atencion seguiremos vicitando el restaurante se lo recomendamos , a todos los que busquen un buen servicio y una buena comida.

The camaron entomatado (shrimp in tomato sauce). The shrimps are JUMBO!! It's really a shame that I use to pass by this place all the time and never even bother to notice it until I read the reviews on it. Stopped by on Good Friday for a late lunch on my way home the place was empty when I got. I the young lady approached me and gave me the menu to look over, I wanted to avoid anything meat so I wanted to see their seafood selection. The picture of the camaron entomatado (shrimp in tomato sauce) looked really good so I ordered it. About ten minutes later I got my food piping hot, and my eyes could not believe it! They used real JUMBO shrimps that is really rare for these type of establishments. Well, now I'm a fan so I will return and see what other goodies they have on the menu.

First things first. I've driven by this place like a couple dozen times and it's seemingly average appearance kept me from checking it out. It's situated between a 7-11 and car wash. After searching for someplace new I ended up here with a friend willing to see what was up with the combo Latin/Kabob restaurant. On a Tuesday a bit after 7pm we walked into a mostly empty seating area, only about half a dozen people. Friendly waitress greeted us and told us we can have a seat anywhere. Menu had a good variety. There is latin food available throughout the day. Breakfast stood out to me. It consisted mainly of Churizo and eggs, tortillas, avacado & more in various combinations. But we were here for the kabab. Quickly ordered the beef kabob that came with salad, rice, and chose the chick peas. Previously I checked on Yelp to see if they had some kind of happy hour, contrary to whats was previously posted, they do serve alcohol. HAPPY HOUR is 4-9 with various specials daily (posted photo for reference) In the short wait for the food (10 mins or so) the latin ranchero music commenced. It wasn't overly loud or intrusive but the CD playing the music did skip a couple times which had everybody including the waitress laughing. When the food came the waitress made sure we had everything we wanted and checked in on us regularly. Later the chef (and who I perceived to be the owner) came out and greeted us and see how we were liking the food. Excellent chick peas, slightly spicy but not overwhelming. Salad was crisp & fresh. The beef was full of flavor juicy and seasoned with herbs and spices. The naan bread was perfect. Only thing I wish I got more of was the green yogurt sauce. I actually debated on getting another order of Beef Kabab for take away for lunch the following day but held off. I was entirely full, portions are quite generous. Friendly staff, good selection on menu and a breakfast I have to try will bring me back here. So don't look too much into the appearance here, it's pretty average inside & out but I recommend definitely giving it a go. If the seating area isn't to your liking or preffer a night at home take away is quick.

Long time patron, so much so that the owner waves at me when he sees me in traffic. There has been an increasing focus on mexican/central american food over the years, but the core Afghan food has been just as good as ever. I love the lamb kabob, always with the chick peas (best chick peas around). My wife goes for the chicken kabob, while our neighbor prefers to branch out. The bread is fresh as can be and very tasty.

+1 for Charlie's Afghan/Latino fusion comments! A Combo #1 with Seekh and Lamb plus a papusa is an awesome combination. Over the past six to seven months about 3-4 of us travel here or Tigris Grill in Oakton for lunch on a weekly or semi-weekly basis. In the past two months the restaurant has changed a little for the better in appearance and food selection. The food has always been great but it seems like the past month or two the lamb is much softer and the taste isn't as spicy and have a bit more flavor. The price is also good with most dishes between $6 and $10 with some combos $10-$13. It may not look like much but the food here is fantastic and the owner is really nice and a great cook!
